Plant scale alone does not pick a concrete boom pump. Estimators still choose valve type, boom class and hydraulic system pressure against the pour geometry.
Rock-valve seats hold abrasive mixes and higher outlet pressure on vertical cores; S-tube kits cost less on clean river sand. When recycled fines dominate, seat wear and mid-pour leakage risk reverse the cost case — document that trade-off before locking a concrete pump truck chassis.
Published boom length and output capacity (m³/h) assume stated aggregate class and full outrigger pad width. Operating weight and lane-closure envelopes can force a shorter city boom; Tier 4 Final packs can derate if DEF / DPF intervals are skipped on continuous night pours.
