Method Comparison

Boom Placement vs Long-Line Pumping on Constrained Sites

Bridge decks, tunnels and dense urban cores rarely share one placement method. Document the trade-off before the concrete pump for sale inquiry locks chassis and pipeline spend.

Boom-led placement

Faster setup when outrigger pads and boom clearance exist; preferred for bridge decks and high-rise cores where vertical outlet pressure and Z-fold reach replace hundreds of meters of pipeline. Limited when lane closures cannot fit published outrigger width.

Long-line / trailer pumping

Wins on tunnel lining and remote precast cells where boom geometry cannot enter; hydraulic system pressure and output capacity (m³/h) dominate the bid. Adds friction-loss engineering, clamp-class control and longer demobilization between pours.
